Our core service is the delivery of hemodialysis. Our service delivery promise relies on two crucially important pillars:

Our Health Care Team: Our Consultant Physician has over 18 years experience and combined with a staff of qualified dialysis nurses with collectively over 50 years of experience. A health care team we are proud to have and a team that is able and ready to serve you! Biographies of our senior health care team can be seen under ‘Our Staff’.

Our Facilities: We use both Fresenius 2008K2 as well as Baxters Phoenix X36 machines – both are internationally recognized as the world’s leading makers of premium dialysis machines. We also use a state-of-the-art water treatment system – our water is tested on a quarterly basis, records of which can be obtained from our Medical Office Manager. And, not to be underestimated – we are the only private dialysis provider on the island with emergency back-up generators which has come in very handy over years!

Sils also offers the Crit Line to any patient who has concerns regarding their dry weight.  The Crit-Line system enables noninvasive optical measurement of absolute blood parameters such as percent blood volume change, absolute hematocrit level and continuous oxygen saturation. The Crit-Line system is an effective tool for the nurses to improve fluid management with less clinical complications, such as hypotension.  It is a fantastic added tool to have accurate, real time hematocrit measurements that can provide the nurse and doctor immediate feedback, supporting anemia management.

In addition, our fully reclinable chairs keep you comfortable during your time with us. During your stay, you will also have the option of watching one of the many channels provided by our cable operator, read any of a number of magazines or simply relax in our comfortable and friendly environment. Sils Dialysis has Wi-Fi availability for all of our clients , so if you wish to bring your tablet or laptop please feel free to do so.

It doesn’t matter if you are a Barbadian resident, visitor to the Caribbean or a returning national, we are the right choice for your dialysis treatment in Barbados, Caribbean and would be very excited to welcome you.

Our Patient Handbook details your rights and obligations at our clinic. It tells you what you can expect of us and what we expect of you. When possible, please download and read before joining us – if you are unable to do so, no need to worry as you will be handed one on your arrival at Sils as part of your Introduction Package.
